I just wanted to say that I was glad to meet and talk to everyone at Gencon. I also wanted to give a thanks to Kain for allowing us to lurk and play games around all the demos he was holding up in the room. Another great thing was that we got to play C3 thanks to jgemrich! So I hope to see everyone again next year!

No problems man. Being able to help the hobby any way we can is what we are all about! It's just awesome that people enjoyed the events and the area we were able to create. Gaming Rocks! Look for special Scenarios for Infinity, More 40K at the Apoc level, fantasy events, Rogue Traders (probably indy), Alkemy scenarios, Alkemy tourneys, more Infinity Tourneys, Pulp City, Rusted Heros, and we will be teaming up with the Rezolution guys to do some choice stuff as well. Good Times, good times!

We do this because of our love for all games and for the enjoyment of everyone's company. Nothing would have been as good as it was without everyone who showed up to help out, to run events, and to play the games. Seeing how successful this convention was for us makes us feel so good and we hope that you will all continue to support us. Next year should be even better!
Gaming is more of a fact of life rather than a hobby.

Yep, it was cool putting faces to all these Avatars and usernames. The cool part is when I read the forums, when I read a post, I can hear there voice in my head. Hopefully they don't get lost among the rest. And those Infinity trophies are:

It was great seein' everyone, meetin' the new and reconnectin' with the old. It was a blast! The only complaint was how short it all was. Big thanks to kain and the TTG crew for an outstandin' job.

I have to echo pretty much what everyone else has said. It was an awesome event, made 100x better by being able to see old friends and shoot the breeze. :)
A big thank you to Khain and JGemrich for use of the terrain and tables. That was extremely kind of you guys and those of us who used them are very grateful.
The TTG area was kickin'. Nice shirts. Nice group. Nice people. You guys should definitely be proud. :)
A big /salute to JGemrich for stepping in to handle the C3 tournament. Kudos to you, sir.
Necro - you guys had an awesome display down in the dealer area, and as you an see I got sucked in hook, line, and sinker. Alkemy really is a very 'spiritual-successor' type game for this Confrontation3 (or earlier) player, at least in my opinion. Thanks for the intro, and to Andrew from St. Louis and Hybrid for their time in the booth.
Looking forward to next year already. :)

jgemrich wrote:Good to see everyone again. I can't wait until next year. Breten and I need to hang out more. I think we are good luck for each other. I definately had a blast meeting everyone, and will be back next year for sure. I definately met some people that I would consider good friends like John, Terry, Tony and Drew. Not leaving anyone out, as I hit it off with everyone. I had a great meal at an expensive restaurant that I will definatly do again. I might take it a little easier on the booze next time though. That was a nasty hangover on Sunday. I just wish I had more time and money. (Sas, I'll get that $45 to you ASAP) Next year, all my cash comes with me instead of leaving it in the bank. As it is right now, I still can't get money out of my account. And hopefully next year I'll get some games in with everyone. There's so much to do and see, it's pretty overwhelming your first time there. Thanks again Necro, you know what I am referring to. You coming through like that was a big deal to me, as when I was getting the responses from Greg and Joss I was getting, it was enough to make me scrap any interest I had in the game. You coming through actually kept that spark going, and will guarntee I start promoting the game locally. I definately want to take some more painting classes next year. I learnt a hell of a lot in Allan C's class on Sunday though I was hungover pretty bad. I even managed to snag a Kraken fig I liked, Allan gave me one of the Demon busts, so I need to step up the skills before I start that model. I learnt a lot from him in my class, and was definately the worst painter of the bunch. That was a little intimidating. I don't remember the name of the guy between Angela Imrie and myself, but even Allan exclaimed Wow when looking at his progress on the mini. I'm a decent TT painter, but my classmates were definately all up to snuff so to speak.

I agree it was a treat to meet and put faces on all those usernames, and I'm sorry that I couldn't spend more time at GenCon.
I got away cheap, with just spending $58 in the dealers room, $40 for Vade Mecum (a companion book for CthulhuTech) and $18 for the Dark Ages Genesis rulebook. I wasn't planning to, but I let myself get into the door opening rush to get the VW book as they were only selling 25 a day. I studied the room layout and headed directly there and picked up the second copy sold that day.
I was able to chat with designers for Alpha Omega, CthulhuTech and Eclipse Phase, as well as getting some information on EVE and Rogue Trader RPGs.
I hope my assistance for the tournament was satisfactory, as I was in-and-out just a few times to explore the dealers room.

dude, bringing the terrain alone was "satisfactory" enough for me...though I didn't run the event, so I cannot say if more or less help was needed! Anyway, man...your help at Origins was enough to get you the free day badge for Gencon!
