Sweet! Looks good. Color me envious. I'm in aerospace, which, for the most part is horribly boring and I don't get to do much actual engineering which is rather annoying seeing as how I bothered to get the degree and all. I would love to do 3D animation stuff for games or movies or TV... but we don't have much in the way of degree programs around here for it. Brick wall

WSU does offer a few Maya classes, but I really did not care much for the program. It may have been the instructor of the class, he was very much like comic book guy from simpsons. The guy that taught the class worked with a few animation studios and was more then willing to tell us all the crazy horror stories. I guess the worst place he worked at was ILM, he would work 7 or 8 months 14 hour days, 7 days a week. Then once the project was over they would be out of work for at least 3 months. Most people would spend that down time updating their skills with the latest greatest new animation programs or updates.

ive found maya to be a good program. it does have its faults of course, but the stuff it can do is amazing.

the stories dont surprise me. when a studio needs 100 animators for some shots it may only last a few weeks. worst case i do some game design in the off months ;)

OK - that's nice an all but what about some half naked fantasy chicks. Feel free to make them Sci Fi if you want and which half you want naked.

I think that would insure that all topics in that forum to have the highest hit count.
