Well enough things have gone awry this spring and summer to scuttle my GenCon trip. I'm not at all happy about it, but as much as I want to go, it's no longer feasible. It sucks that I won't get to meet all you guys up there and play a crapload of games, drink a few beers, and bring home a car full of loot. I think I missed the deadline to do anything about a badge refund but some lucky SOB is going to get my nice hotel room... At any rate, I'm very envious of all you guys who are going and I hope it is an amazing time for everyone. I don't know how full the Infinity tourney is but I had a ticket purchased for it so if it's full, there's now at least one opening when I get it canceled.

Out of curiosity, where's the hotel room and have you already cancelled it (wondering if a reservation can be transferred).
Too bad, I promise to take a moment of silence during a game for you. :)

...and then there is one last person from Wichita. It has been rough trying to get people to go to GenCon this year.

I think that's it for a lot of the other guys as well. I put off the decision until the last moment basically though. Ah well, maybe next year... <sigh>

It's not the absolute closest, I had one of those the first year, but it is still connected by skywalk to the convention center. I don't know if it's transferable or not but if you're interested we can find out. It's $155 per night

I am most likely interested in that room.
Thankfully all my tickets and stuff are paid for because the girlfriend just got home with bad news, she was let go from her job today. Luckily I should still be good to go.
