Ahoy, everyone, my name is Jon and I'm relatively new to all this table top gaming. I have played a few games here and there but overall I'd my status is well within the newbie range.
I live in California (LA or Redondo Beach specifically) and I'm just looking for a good group of people who can further convert me to the world of table top gaming. I just moved out as of 3 weeks ago so I know virtually no one and my job as a QA tester has me looking for something else to do aside from playing video games in my free time.
Any game is good for me, though being on the Fantasy or Sci-fi side helps.
My game knowledge is varied but limited; played a few nights of D&D (3rd edition) and I own minis to a game I picked up at Origins 10 years ago called Silent Death as well as minis to Battlefleet Gothic though I've never played and am unsure as to whether I have a full fleet or not.
Really I'm just whoring myself out to anyone in my area who's will to teach me a new game or just wants new blood. I'm sure this Intro is boring as sin but it doesn't matter.
Anywho, nice to meet you all and I hope to game with you soon.

Welcome to TTG, There is a good portion of Ohioans here but we don't turn anybody away.
Are you going to make Origins this year, because you can find us in the miniatures room 'C' as we will have several events going on next week.
I'm primarily an Infinity player but have been thinking about dusting off my Warhammer 40K stuff.
Feel free to look around and ask questions.

Unfortunately I just moved from Ohio and I won't be able to make it back for Origins. Just hoping someone out west here knows something or someone knows someone.
