Knowing GenCon like I do, since registration opened yesterday and housing today, I went ahead and bought my badge and booked a hotel. I'm going to be there one way or another this year it looks like. Hope to see a lot of you there.

Gencon is one of the reasons I moved back to Indianapolis. So I will be there also and hope to meet a bunch of you guys as well.

I'm badged and booked at this point - yeeeee-haw! Wasn't as painful as folks warned me, but the one hotel I was booking vanished from the options just as I pushed the Make Reservation button... It's like $150 to stay in midtown and $90 out by the airport! Now I just got to submit my event sched this week and I'm all set for August...  BtI-living in Indianapolis must be a blast. Love that place!

Since the last time I was there (the first GenCon Indy), I think they knocked down a few hotels and stuff to build the new stadium. Still better than Milwaukee for having hotels within walking distance but not as good as it was. PLUS they are saving rooms for their stupid $500 VIG package people. Seriously, $500 for a guaranteed close room and access to the lounge???? But I'm still juiced to go.
