Hello Fellow TTG Members!

Table Top Gamers has done it! We are now more than just a forum. Today we received the information we need to become an officially sanctioned GAMA Organization! That right everyone, we are official!

You might be wondering what this covers? Well, first things first, any active member will receive 50% off the cost of the Badge into Origins. This is separate from the rewards you get from running events. Even if you do not run one single event, you will still be able to get 50% off as long as you are an active member of Table Top Gamers!

Also, since we are an Organization, we will be able to be a part of GAMA's Cohort organization. What is this you ask? Well, the Cohort program connects Table Top Gamers with GAMA member companies to create conventions and in store gaming. This could also include opportunities to play test up and coming games.

There are other benefits as well. For example, as an organization affliated with GAMA, Table Top Gamers could offer Health Insurance. We will also be invited to special GAMA only events and special parts of current GAMA conventions. Yes, that means we might be invited to some special GAMA parties or something. We also will get a direct connection to the pulse of GAMA, allow us, the players, to have an active voice in the future of the industry!

So, now you might be asking yourself, what do I have to do to be an active member? Well that is easy! I just need you email me your User Name, your real name, your email address, and your real address so that I can submit an active member list to GAMA. GAMA promises that they will not sell our information, and I will be submitting my address as well, so no worries on some random spammer getting your information. So email me your information at kain@ttgamers.com or PM me here on the forums!

EDIT: The reason GAMA asks for your real address is so that they can mail you stuff like sneak peak items and announcements! I swear they will not give that information out!

This is really awesome for us, and it's moving towards a great future!

How to Buy the Badge with the 50% discount

Ok, information, round 2:

Here is the process: The web site shows you that a club badge is available. It is not purchasable from the website. You need to download the registration form and mail it in so that we can confirm your club is a member. You do not need to create an Origins ID to download the form.

If they already bought a badge you should email Steve [at] GAMA [dot] org. He will have the club membership lists and if you're on the list he’ll email you and Origins Registration and let them know they qualify for a refund.

Note: In order to get the discount, you must be listed on the "active Membership List." Not sure if you are on it? Check out the other thread and make sure you are on it...all the cool kids are! mrgreen

Right on! That's seriously awesome news! I'm not sure if I'll be going to Origins or GenCon but this is still all kinds of kick @$$! Way to go, congrats, and nice job!

Thanks man!

One more thing to add. If you did not already by your origins badge, hold off for a little while and I will instruct you on what you have to do in order to get the discount.

If you "jump the shark" and try to order the badge before I get the active member list to GAMA, they are just going to point and laugh at you.

I will let everyone know how and when they will be able to get their 50% off. If you already bought your badge, I will see if it's possible to get some of that back as well.

Like I said, I will keep you informed.

Off Topic: Since TTG can offer Health Insurance now, I am thinking about changing the Slogan from "Get Your Game On!" to "Get Your Game On and Be Healthy!" lol Just kidding, but it's serious...if you are an active member and need health insurance, TTG might be able to help you! eek
