Just taking attendance to see who here does in fact actually play Privateer Press miniatures games. Hordes for me. Wouldn't mind trying Warmachine for real but I've never got more than a single 'demo' sized game in.

Hmmm. I guess I almost kind of sort of count. I have a ton of Cygnar and Mercs for Warmachine and am building a Skorne warband for Hordes, but I've never played Hordes and due to circumstances beyond my control, haven't gotten a game of WM in, in several years. I'm dying to play but nobody here wants to anymore.

Then in one tourney there was a guy that built a list around a list that was designed to miss its target but still cause damage (I am not sure how or with what). After that no one played again. I never played myself, I never liked the mechs (the big robot guys) and I was not sure if I would have a chance if I created list without them. I picked up my first model about a week before the tournament that broke the support the game.

We have a group here who plays Hordes/Warmachine nearly every week. I personally enjoy Hordes more than Warmachine, though I have a pretty good sized Cryx army. My Hordes faction of choice is Skorne, but I don't use any of the back banner things as I grow tired of the Japanese influences in every game that comes out. Not that it's particularly bad, just everyone seems to do it. There are things about the game(s) that bother me (I have reach, you don't, I'm within 2" of you so I am engaging and thus I can't use my ranged attack; I'm the one with the spear dammit!), but overall our group is pretty cool and non one really tries too hard to break the game or be jerks to everyone else. Anyway, that's what's happening around here. Totengraber Totengräber's WorkpläceCircle City Gamers - Central Indiana Gaming ForumSelling Confrontation Acheron Army

I own about 500 points of Khador (sp?) with about 100 points of Mercs. I played the game some, and still play from time to time, but I've not bought anything since the second book. Right now Necro is trying to talk me into playing Circle for Hordes, because he knows I love Wolves and keeps pointing out Circle is a lot like the Drunes from another game we all know... and he knows I loved my Drunes.... Anyway... Hordes/Warmachine is one of those games that I wish I played more...but never seem to have enough money to keep up!

It was a smaller, cheaper, alternative to the GW stuff that was set in a steampunk environment. Win/Win for me. Well, I still like the fluff and I like the minis and rules, but you have to have so much stuff for a game of WarMachine these days, and THAT part I don't like. And the minis are NOT cheap anymore. I want to get a game or three of Hordes in to see if I like it better but yeah, I keep trying to stay current with my Cygnar and it's almost impossible without sinking a ton of cash into it which I can't justify for a game I don't get to play.

I picked up Legion at Gencon and then my gamer ADD kicked in the other night and i bought some circle. I still dont have a lot of games in but it hasnt been bad so far. learning to play a new system with people who have been at it for years kinda sucks. im not used to stumbling through games trying to figure stuff out! I think the big factor was that STL has the largest WM league in the country (42) and i know i can always find people to play.

LOL....gamer ADD here too..... 1200points of Trolls, approximatly 1500pts for Everblight....about 1000 for mercs and khador. I think Im gonna start weeding out the khador and mercs though. I need space for tanks, maybe infinity and alkemy too.

I don't even want to think about how much Cygnar I have. And I don't even have any cavalry. I'm a little disappointed in the move away from the Warcaster/Jacks approach to units of troops and cavalry. TONS of other games have units of elites and cavalry, not too many have magic/steam powered mechs. I don't think I'll be buying any more Cygnar other than the heavy Jacks I don't have yet because that's really the stuff I liked to play. I've got a decent amount of privateers and Magnus, and then a decent sized Skorne warband.

I picked up several Circle models last year when a LGS closed down. I painted a couple warbeasts and bought the second book. I have only played a couple times.

It's thriving here. I'm playing trolls and collecting Searforge Comission.

Since posting this thread almost a year ago the wife to be and I (less than two weeks to that wedding day) have gotten into Warmachine in a big way, which is fantastic. She plays Cygnar - for now. I think she is looking towards stealing my Khador or Trollbloods more and more by the day. Personally I wouldn't mind being behind Cygnar for awhile.

Caern, Congratz on the wedding!! And a woman that is a gamer...very awesome!! as far as PP goes, I am pretty much a legion player these days and enjoying it (though Alkemy has taken my top spot). I've been less interested in PP games since my LGS closed last year (and burn-out was setting in a little before that). That said, I do still have my sizeable Menoth army, and I've got an Everblight army as well. My girlfriend plays Circle from time to time. I've definitely been playing more Infinity lately, though. Hopefully I'll be slotting in a lot more Alkemy, as well as some Malifaux soon.
