Cracking open the old Dungeon Masters Guide to page 174...
Rolling d20... 14. Table VI.
Rolling d%... 38.
Lycanthrope, WerebearMinion Level: Usually 6/66 to 8/88
Size: Normal (mortal form) to 4 SQR as great bear.
Arketype: Warrior (Trickster, Special).
Arketype SpecialThis Lycan will always be a Warrior as prime, then Trickster as second tier. The other second tier stat is driven by its mortal Arketype, regardless if that Arketype is already one of the first two. A Humnz Trickster who transforms is a Warrior/Trickster/Trickster in Lycan form. A Humnz Mage would be a Warrior/Trickster/Mage in Lycan form.
Strength Plus+8 Warrior Strength (+4 mortal form)
+4 Move Strength (+2 mortal form)
+4 Spell Point Strength (+2 mortal form)
Blood Chipsd3+3 Lycan form (d3 mortal form)
Normal Weapon PenaltyNon-enchanted weapons suffer -2 on their Damage Die (versus the Lycan form only).
Aversion: Mittorian SteelAny weapon forged of the fabled Mittorian Steel is supremely effective against Lycans. The Damage Die receives a +4 bonus! A Lycan cannot stay within 1 SQR of such items, suffering d10 Wounds at the Spante (if the wielder pays four spoints).
Summon KindLevel 4 CR% skill
d6 normal bears summoned in 2-12 innings
'Cause that's what the Monster Manual said...
Heal WoundsThree times normal rate (in mortal form)
For healing, the mortal form's WS or RS is factored at three times its value for standard wound recovery.
The Pain of TurningTurning is not instantaneous. It takes d6+4 innings to effect. The +4 bonus is eliminated if the moon is full, of course... For this duration, the Lycan suffers d6 spoints loss each inning (this is the power they expend to turn). If they run out of spoints during the transformation, the d6 is taken off their mortal wounds total.
The Humnz form suffers an (INI Roll x 2) wounds for the transformation. When returning to humanoid form, their normal wounds are down by this total. They may transform back to an NDE! Max pain from this is 64 wounds, so as long as the Ark has more than 60 wounds in mortal form, they should be safe.
Under the Surface Dwells The BeastEven in humanoid form, the Lycan benefits function at half power. Warrior Strength +4, Move +2, SPS +2, Blood Chips only 3 (no d3), etc. The Ark will also possess the thirst for blood at all times! And the aversion, too!
Infectious: LycannibalismAnyone suffering an NDE from a bloodied lycan has a chance to become infected. If they survive the NDE, they must take a Success Roll (2d10%). Bad things happen if they roll any Wicked Score:
01Ark suffers another NDE that is equal to the Lycan's ML base. ML 8/88 = 88% NDE!
02, 03The Ark suffers an NDE equal to an INI Roll + Minion Level. INI + 8 for an 8/88 minion.
97, 98, 99The Ark is infected and becomes cannibalistic in nature. They are not full Lycans, but only have the Lycan's unquenching thirst for blood! And an aversion to Mittorian Steel!
00You've been Lycan-ized! The Ark stays at zero wounds for d6 days. Each day they suffer an INI NDE roll which can not be Phewed! The Wicked Roll rules above are in effect. If they roll 00 or any Good Shot, this fever breaks and they are not Lycan. A Bad Shot also leads to full Lycanization.
It ain't easy becoming a werebear, you know!
OK! OK! This was a quick 15 minute brain dump. I'll revisit tonight and tweak, fix typos, but give me some lovin' feedback if you want!
