At the outset of the Nilia wars the Silver wings were a wery young chapter and had still to prove itself worthy to serve the emperor. The Silver wings fought side by side with the Blood angels and Fire lords several times over the two and a half standart years of battle for the Nilia system. The Silver wings won many victories against the daemonic forces of the chapters nemesis chaos warlord Tk-Sleen and soon had both Nilia primus and Nilia ultra under control. But it was the final battle for Nilia Secundus that the chapter won its greatest victory. The chapters scout patrols told that the enemy were preparing for a foul ritual on the planets north pole. The Silver wings deployed en masse with drop pods just outsite of Tk-Sleen's fortress and began erecting defensive walls. But the defenders didnt shoot. The commanding officer ordered mass withdrawal and orbital bombardement on top of the fortess. But it was too late and the ground troops was assaulted by daemons and other warpspawn. The spacemarines destroyed the daemons, but at a high cost. Nearly half of the chapter was destroyed that day. As the surviving marines recovered they witnessed five black Thunderhawks leave the fortress and head towards outer space. The Chapter marster ordered an exterminatus with virus bombs to cleanse the planet of daemonic taint. After the campaign the Silver wings took Nilia primus as their homeworld.

Doctrines: The Silver wings rely on force in battle and therefor has a high number of assault squads.

Beliefs: The Silver wings believie in the emperor being the ultimate human; god-like yet human.
