Hello there,

Just for your information. Kraken Editions and XII Singes are releasing in a couple of weeks the Alkemy RPG based on DD4 rule mechanics.

We were wondering how much you guys would like to get it translated ?

First book to be released : the Guide for Khalimans (everything you need to play khalimans with DD4 rules)

Tell us more about that ;)

I will assume that DD4 means using the 4th edition mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons...with the powers and what not.

If there is some good fluff in the book, I would be interested in an English copy, but I don't play 4th ed, so I don't know how interested I would be in an Alkemy version of it.

Personally, I'd rather see more effort on translating and releasing the Genesis rulebook. As for an RPG, that would be cool if Genesis was already out even though, like Kain, I don't play 4th ed.

There are 2 different projects as Genesis is editing by Kraken and the RPG is developping by the XII Singes (a RPG french editing company) under our supervision. So the staff working on Genesis translation is not the same working on the RPG ;)

I'll toss this in b/c you asked. I have no interest in an RPG.

I'm with John. I really don't play RPG's anymore, but I do sometimes pick up RPG books if the fluff and content is worth reading.

I like the idea of an Alkemy RPG...but DnD4 - they already have ONE miniatures game - we don't need a second.

I am going to buck the trend here and say that I would LOVE to see Alkemy DD4 English products!

I've been playing D&D regularly for over 27 years, and I regularly play DD4 now, and really like 4th edition.

One would assume that these resources would be full of background/fluff material, and hopefully some art on top of that. I for one would really like to see that in English. :)

I can only speak for myself, but I would buy every Alkemy DD4 product you guys put out. :)

I can pretty much guarantee (provided the job situation gets fixed in the not too distant future) that I would buy every Alkemy book for a DD4 based Alkemy RPG. I love the setting, I like DD4 and I like to read that stuff even when I can't get games in.

There were horses and a man on fire and I killed a guy with a trident!

I would also really like to see an Alkemy RPG. I'd like to see genesis first though, it would make it easier to sell my players on the setting.

I would rather see fluff books and scenario books but I am picky liek that :)

I probably won't purchase them but I am sure someone in my group will and I can read the fluff sections.

I play Alkemy but not RPGs. That's mostly because I've not the time to so and don't have those kind of friends.

If the book contained some great artwork and fluff that complemented the tabletop game I'd buy the book no problem.

The translation part of Genesis is done - aside from a bit of fiction text we were asked to do last Monday and on which I'm having the rest of my team pull a couple of all nighters so that it doesn't sound too Rackhamish.

As for a D&D4-based RPG, I'd love to see that.

The translation would need to be excellent as I probably won't play the game. I would buy it for all the info though.

How long for the Avalon book?

Don't know about the Avalon book, but according to this, the release date for the French Khaliman book is Apr. 23rd, and will be followed by the Aurlok book.

That sounds pretty cool! I'd be all over a Khaliman sourcebook.

I'm a really big roleplayer, and love the 4th edition of the D&D rules. I'd buy it for sure.

Ok, is this hitting the English market? After thinking about it more, I'd buy in...if I could get it from a us distro.
