Joss is going to have to bribe me with something if he wants to change the rules on the fly in the tourney! mrgreen Of course, that will not take much!

You may ask him for some presents, but he might think you mean his presence. Think

Bah!! Being able to adapt to the changing conditions of the battlefield is a sign of... oh crap, nevermind. We're screwed. :)

Yeah totally screwed !
Designer is evil cool

I will certainly be available a couple of nights to play with you guys. I won't participate though in the tourney (someone may call that cheatin... and they would be right mrgreen )
Althought I might help a bit as referee (if I can remember the rules cheesygrin )

Great things coming up !

Ok, based on our "traffic flow" from last year, The Gencon management team decided that the Alkemy event is only allowing 12 players, instead of 24.

I love Gencon!

What does that mean? They don't think Alkemy will pull enough players?

I've noticed that they've done this 'space limitation' with many different events, not just the Alkemy tournament...

Mind-boggling, to say the least.

It means that since our biggest event (Infinity tourney) last year only grabbed 8 players and was scheduled for 24, they forced us down to 12 players.

Not really sure how it works, since they are totally different game systems...but I emailed the dude, and that's the answer I got from the Director of event management or some such bullshit.

So we gotta do a first-come-first-serve for this tourney?

If so, DIBS!

If you pre-reg, you're in. Once the Pre-Reg's are sold we will see how much room we have left for other stuff! mrgreen

i would say 'we will not turn players away', and make space as needed even if it bypasses GC.

You can always set up more tables and collect generics. I did that with the Infinity Demos last year.

I hope so. I don't think I'm willing to buy a non-dealer badge and risk not being able to return it just to register...but I REALLY want to play :/

Seriously - I am going to get so "pwnd". And I can't wait. :)

Are there any force comp restrictions beyond those in the regular rules?

If I can play in the tourney I'll be getting my ass handed to me. My last game of Alkemy was at GenCon last year against Jeremy on the first day. Had to learn it before demoing it.

Haven't played since.

And what are these toxic serpents you are speaking of?

Does this look like the Federation of Not allowing you to play with your figs? FALSE!

Standard army comp.

Ok, just like the old days on the EN Conf forums, I see a LOT of folks here "talking the talk"...

But... can you walk the walk?

I've registered for the Alkemy tournament... have you? :)
