Hey gang, The details are still in the works, but I wanted to let everyone know that I will be running the First "official" Alkemy Tourney this side of the pond. Seriously!

I'm still working the details out with Doug, but there is talk of Storyline effects and kick ass "in game" happenings with the tourney.

More details to come, but right now we are aiming at 4 rounds, 250 points, no sidebar, scenario based. Painted minis not required, but the hope is to offer a prize for best painted.

This will probably happen Saturday of Gencon! mrgreen

Stay tuned here for more details!

Well, I'm all for it, but if it overlaps with the Helldorado tourney, then I'm out.

The plan is that it will not. I want to play in the Hell Dorado event as well! mrgreen

Cool, and I'd be interested in playing in the Alkemy one.

I just got confirmation on some support items for GenCon. *woot*

Hopefully the game will be 4 rounds, at an hour a round...that way we can wrap it up in 6 hours. Thinking 11-5

I plan on being there, in some capacity. :)

You already have as much Chonkey as possible.

It's gotta overlap something. I'm not running a tourney on Thursday, as attendance will be low.

Unless I am going to run something from 7pm until 1am...

I'd be there. I was expecting more people to be up late last year.

I'm in for any and all late-night gaming (I'll bring booze).

Late night gaming does indeed equal a win! mrgreen

However, I would like to have a super grand showing for the event...so probably not so good for a tourney! mrgreen

If it's a single day event, I'll be in it for sure. :) Probably the only minis event I plan to register for at the moment.

But Doug better not use some wimpy excuse to not play in the tourny!!!! "Wahh, I am a member of Kraken so I can't participate. Wahhh!" or something like that. :P

Personally, I think all the Kraken staff should be there...prove they actually know how to play a real game of Alkemy...instead of that kiddie Demo stuff! razz

You guys do realize that the 'staff' may have access to minis you won't. Also, I believe if you play Joss, since he's the game designer he has the ability to change/make rules on the fly. cheesygrin

I plan on being there. Nice to hear that the tourney will be on Saturday. :d/

Bah!! Being able to adapt to the changing conditions of the battlefield is a sign of a good tactical player! This won't be a problem!

Bah!! Being able to adapt to the changing conditions of the battlefield is a sign of... oh crap, nevermind. We're screwed. :)

Joss is going to have to bribe me with something if he wants to change the rules on the fly in the tourney! mrgreen Of course, that will not take much!
