I just want to make sure that I read correctly how on watch works as relating to close combat in the quick start rules. If miniature B who is on watch is charged by miniature A, miniature B has to pay 1ap to re-activate if it choses to react and another 1ap to play a close combat(CC)card other than inactive for a total of 2ap correct? Is this an error, because if you reactivate a miniature on watch with 1ap it must perform one action but cannot unless a formula permits it(ex.Khaliman's Premonition). I guess my real question is, what useful purpose does On Watch serve besides reacting to ranged attacks?

A miniature on watch can *react* to combat/ranged attacks by spending just 1AP. It, however, must spend 1AP to re-activate and another 1AP to perform another action as part of its *own* activation.

When the turn finishes and everyone has all their AP back. Does it still cost 1AP to take a miniature off watch or do they come off watch at the end of the turn automatically? As I understand it any miniature with AP remaining can react etc.

At the end of the turn, all models lose their "left over" ap.
