This came up in the last couple of games I've played as to whether charges are supposed to be in a straight line or not. Some games it is required (Hordes/Warmachine) and in others it's not (Confrontation 2,3,3.5,AOR). The rulebook does not seem to make this point and it doesn't appear in the FAQ, but some people believe that charging in a straight line was the intent. I'd just like to know definitively. I am not the best resource to answer this question, but if my memory is correct. If you run it has to be in a straight line, if you charge it does not.

For Normal Movement and Running it specifically states that it must not be in a straight line and can be in any direction. However, it lacks that distinction for Charging. Hopefully Caherwain will stop by and be able to answer definitively.
It sure is nice having the lead designer drop by and answer these questions.

I've treated charging as a "general" straight line. Meaning you gotta have LOS to the model...that's it.

I guess I'm with the rest. Charging specifically states that you need (1) Line of Sight, and (2) enough movement to reach the target. Until told otherwise, I assume that means you can charge around a corner or obstacle, provided you can see the target (or have an ability like the Khaliman Sorhna Oracle).
You already have as much Chonkey as possible.

Brasidas is correct. Just need line of sight as well as enough movement to get in close combat. You don't have to move, charge or run in straight line.
