So with the extended weekend, the TTG Staff got together to waste some time playing games all weekend long. We played a bunch of games…including Monopoly! Now, I was thinking to myself “Heck, its Monopoly…what could go wrong?” Man, I should know as soon as I think that, its going to be a beat-down.
Anyway, I Bandar is currently working on a Business degree with a focus in Real Estate. Holy shit…well obviously he’s been paying attention in his classes…and proceeded to whip the crap out of the other staff members.
It didn’t help that I spent more time in Jail then on the board…I guess I was not practicing “legal” real estate methods…like the man can hold me down! O yea! I played the utilities and transportation tycoon…but the wealth I gained from that could not pay the rent when I stayed at the most expensive hotels in all the land. It was like I was back in Indy during Gencon!
Anyway, it was a blast to play the classic again…but next time, we play the Star-Wars version. Nothing is cooler than playing with a Storm-Trooper buying Endor! O yea!
So, the moral of this story is to stay away from Bandar if you are playing the classics…Monopoly…Cards….whatever! At least I made it up in Dark Age! Rock Face!

It didn't help me when my dice went on a revolt

Well at least you guys made it to the end! I had more property than both of you, but one bad dice roll and I was on the ropes from there. If there was a cottage or castle on a property, I was sure to land on it.

It has been a while since I played Monopoly. I have a question. Does the game still just end when everyone is sick of playing? I ask this because I have never EVER successfully finished a game of Monopoly.

We finished when Bandar was the only player that did not owe Bandar money... Meaning everyone else had no money, and no properties to mortgage...and nothing to bribe Bander with!
