Hey folks,

March 7-9, 2008. Cold Wars.

I'll be running my little WEGS off at this con. In fact, we're launching the pirate rule set for WEGS here. (Insert the roar of all three rabid WEGS fans). Here's the WEGS schedule on my chunky site:

Here's the official con site:

Me and the hogs are really looking forward to this one. We attended the summer con for this group (HMGS East/Historicon) and had one amazing game after another. We stress the tactical side of the game here and far less of the rpg side. It's a great atmosphere and a great time. This con is amazing for terrain and historical miniatures.

We're kinda the freak show here as we use a battlemat...

Hey folks,

Any TTG-ers going to this? It's this upcoming weekend. Just wondering!

We'll be launching our pirate rules (but the actual game won't be ready until summer...).

Arrr!

FYI TTG-ers!

WEGS, the Wickedly Errant Game System, will be for sale at the Harmony House Hobbies booth at Cold Wars 2008. We’re offering a package deal that includes the WEGS 101 Old Skool rulebook and a deck of WEGS Skill Cards for only $25.

eek

That’s right, you get the intro rulebook and the 56-card deck for $25. It’s a great deal, folks!

So, why do you want WEGS? Well, it’s an adventure game system that inspires rapid play and brutal combat. It is the perfect system for gamers who want to get together on short notice for a night of wicked adventure. WEGS plays as well on awesome terrain settings as it does a flat battle mat. It’s a system that rises to your miniature-based gaming needs. WEGS is especially suited for dramatic last-stand scenarios where players face impossible odds (think the Alamo, Helm’s Deep, 300, Night of the Living Dead).

WEGS divides the players into two teams: The Arks (aka heroes) and The Minion Master (who controls all the attacking forces). As a team, the players go head-to-head against the minions. In Vegas terms, the Minion Master is the “house” and the players are, well, the players. To give it the real casino bite, all players begin with a stack of poker chips that represent their luck. During the game, players expend these chips to do certain actions or heighten their chance of success.

In WEGS, there are no charts to slow you down! It is a wicked dice game. WEGS elevates dice to their rightful place at the gaming table: the tumbling blocks of fate! WEGS is all about odds and gods. The odds of making the roll. The gods of chance.

We’ll be running several WEGS events at Cold Wars. We’ll be the table that looks like we’re playing Texas Hold ‘Em. If you’re curious, swing by and watch a little bit of the game.

We’re limiting the Book-n-Card combo offer to the first 15 buyers only; so, if you’re looking for a deal, make your way to the Harmony House Hobbies booth (between the snack bar and the restrooms, too convenient!). They will have the goods ready and waiting!

Here’s to a great con!

Game on! lone ranger
