I know most of the forum people here played confrontation a long time ago in a galaxy far far away....
So would people be interested in playing in Confrontation events running under the "Classic" rules?
I am not so sure I am thinking of 8 hour tourneys or anything, but something more along the lines of a four hour time slot.
Any thoughts?

I was thinking more along the lines of a scenario or something. Not just two games of 400 points or something. I was just curious what people wanted, as we are working on the plans for Origins and Gencon, and some of us think even talking about Classic Confrontation is a waste of time!

I know Mr T is talking about running a 20 man C3 tourney at GenCon using the rules as printed in the back of the book (not GDR).
Also, I've been wanting to use NACORD or whatever it becomes as a way to group together a bunch of skirmish games into one room for us to demo and run events for. These including Alkemy, Hell Dorado, Infinity, etc.

My thought was an evening tournament. Thr or Friday but alot of votes for Friday night for Infinity over on their site. So I was looking 16 to 20 man. Old scenarios. 3 rounds. Back of the book rules...period. No GD 45 page FAQ, no 3.5, no limits. I mean....just have some fun. I like 1 room. It doesn't have to be XCORD but it would be nice to be under a banner.

A classic C3 tournament is something I would consider doing (even if my sentinels can't snipe people out of combat any more :-) ). Plus I have all sorts of terrain for it. (Though my box of carts (for Stupid Nags) recently took a header to the cement basement floor - so they would require lots of repairs to be ready).
Even though I still check the forums, and download what is available, I have yet to commit any $$ to C:AoR, and still don't have plans to.

Great!
Let me know if there's anything I can do. Otherwise, I'll just talk to Mr T in about a week and a half. ;)

I'm not against doing it - I will just be shading towards evening more than day since I am normally running my stores booth through out the con. But an afternoon-into-evening slot would work too.
And I can even offer some prize support through my shop as well. Not a ton, no trips to France, no Titan Dragons, but probably a box set or two and a few blisters...
Heck - if it's the right time and we have a real live room I might try to put together one of our odd Chicago-style scenarios for a time slot too. I don't know if I can plan out a GenCon specific time slot right now - but if we have the room I can at least let everyone know as a kind of 'fill in' event.
